September 27, 2025 Farm Update

As the seasons shift, we’re preparing for exciting changes and growth here at Loki Farms.

American Bresse Chickens Coming Spring 2026

We are pleased to share that this spring we will be introducing American Bresse chickens to our farm. Recognized worldwide for their premium meat quality, excellent foraging ability, and dependable egg production, American Bresse are a remarkable dual purpose breed. As part of this transition, our current flock will be made available in smaller groups for those interested in adding productive layers to their homesteads.

Livestock Updates

This month, we were able to rehome Billy, avoiding a trip to freezer camp. Breeding season is coming to a close, and we plan to dry off our does during the second week of October. This pause will give them a well earned rest before the upcoming kidding season in January, ensuring healthy mothers and strong kids.

Ducks & Eggs

Our ducks have officially begun laying. Their eggs are rich, flavorful, and a wonderful addition to the farm’s offerings.

Soap Production for Farmers Markets

Looking ahead, we are preparing another round of our handcrafted goat milk soap. These batches will be ready for next year as we begin participating in local farmers markets. We’re eager to share our soaps, along with other farm fresh products, with our wider community.
