Welsh Harlequin Hatching Eggs

Our original ducks came from Murray Mcmurray Hatchery. Most of the hens are very light colored. We're not doing show lines, we have them for eggs (which are delicious.) And they are very good foragers. They can be a little flighty when young if you don't work with them, but all of ours have calmed nicely as adults. This breed is auto sexing by bill color in the first couple days after hatch.

Eggs may be dirty, the like to lay them outside the coop in the run. I do my best to brush them off. They are weighed and candled to make sure they are good for hatching.
