Welsh Harlequin Ducklings

$18 per female, $10 per male, $70 for a set of 4 female, 1 male

5 female, 6 male available. Welsh Harlequin are good layers. Generally too heavy to fly well, we've certainly not had an issue with them leaving or even attempting to fly.

Auto sexing at hatch. Females will have a two tone color on their bill at hatch and for a few days after before turning completely dark like the males'. We do put a little dab of blue paint on the males' heads so we can tell past the first few days.

Homestead or micro dairy herdside potential. This boy was 10lbs 13oz at birth. He is very robust. He is correct and has nice bone while still being pretty dairy. We do have two extra bucklings that have their horns to choose from as a friend to go with for $100 if needed.

His dam (Ruby) has a decent udder with really nice medial and nice rear attachments, shown here. This is 7 weeks into her first freshening. She is currently giving just shy of a gallon a day as a yearling first freshener.

His sire (Wild Hoof Acres Trailing Looks), pictured in the last picture, is from generations of winning show and strong milk genetics. He is our junior herdsire, and we're working to improve our herd here with him. He has very nice conformation and a lovely disposition.

Welsh Harlequin Hatching Eggs

$20 per dozen

Our original ducks came from Murray Mcmurray Hatchery. Most of the hens are very light colored. We're not doing show lines, we have them for eggs (which are delicious,) and meat. They are very good foragers. They can be a little flighty when young if you don't work with them, but all of ours have calmed nicely as adults. This breed is auto sexing by bill color in the first couple days after hatch.

Eggs may be dirty, they like to lay them outside the coop in the run. I do my best to brush them off. They are weighed 68g and up, and candled to make sure they are good for hatching.
