Spring is in full swing at Loki Farms, and things are moving fast.
We’ve been working hard to get the garden together—and while the beds are built, we still need to get the rest of them filled. One step at a time. If you've ever tried to start a garden while wrangling livestock in the heat, you know the feeling.
Meanwhile, our ducklings have hit their awkward teen phase—they’re losing the last of their fluff and finally starting to look like real ducks. Feathers are mostly in now, and if all goes well, they’ll be moving into the coop in another week or two. They’re growing fast and getting more confident by the day.
And then there are the chicks! We just wrapped up our latest hatch and ended up with 18 healthy little ones. This group is available as straight run (unsexed) and ready for new homes. They’re all naked necks, come in a variety of colors, and were hatched from the hens that consistently lay the largest eggs on the farm. If you're looking to add strong layers or unique genetics to your flock, this is a solid bunch. Check the Animal Sales Page for availability.
We’ll have more updates soon—once the garden beds are filled and the ducks are fully moved in, we’ll finally get a breather… maybe.
Thanks for following along. Whether you’re here to learn, support local farming, or just see cute animals, we’re glad you’re with us.
