If you've tried to pick up milk from us lately only to find that we've sold out, we see you!
We're incredibly grateful that demand for our goat milk has grown, but our current first-come, first-served system has created a problem: sometimes one customer needs quite a bit of milk, while another regular customer checks in later and finds there's none left.
Beginning with our 2027 milk season in February, we'll be introducing standing weekly milk reservations to make things a little more predictable.
How will it work?
We'll conservatively set aside a certain number of ½-gallon reservation slots for each day.
You'll choose a regular pickup day and the number of ½-gallons you'd like reserved for you each week. Your standing amount will be set aside for you on that day.
There will be no contract or prepayment. We're starting with an honor system and simply asking that everyone communicate with us. If you can't make your normal pickup day, let us know and we'll hold your milk through the following day.
What if I don't want a standing reservation?
No problem!
Only part of our expected milk production will be committed to standing reservations. Anything available beyond the day's reserved milk will still be offered first-come, first-served, just as it is now.
Our goal isn't to make buying milk more complicated. It's to make sure our regular customers can depend on having milk available while still leaving plenty of opportunity for occasional customers to purchase it.
Why wait until February?
We're using the remainder of the 2026 season to trial parts of the system and learn what works best. Our goats' production naturally changes throughout the season, and we'd rather make conservative promises we can reliably keep than overbook the milk fridge!
We'll announce the number of available reservation slots and details for claiming them closer to the beginning of our February 2027 milk season.
