He has been a great addition and has been busy adding some very nice resilient and sturdy genetics. We love his robustness and his ease of keeping weight even through rut. On top of that he's very well mannered and easy to handle and work with. I am just loving how his daughter (Poppy) is turning out this year. She's good looking and I think he added some good things. Can't wait to see what he's doing with udders. He probably won't be used this year unless our new guy has trouble keeping up his first year. We will definitely use him next year to breed our keepers to, though.

We have our new buck!! Barn name hasn't been decided on yet. He's got some amazing show genetics. His dam is pending Permanent Champion and appraised a 90VEEE in 2023 and she is just gorgeous. He should really improve our lines here as we get rolling and fix some things with our udders and conformation. Him and Tilly are spending a couple weeks in quarantine before being introduced to Poppy and Ruby.

Billy has been a great herdsire. He is currently for sale, however. We have two does out of him we've kept. Iris is the first and she's pretty and petite and is developing as a milker very nicely. I love the udder he put on her. Ruby from this year is the second and she is also gorgeous. With the nicer udder he seems to throw on top of the pretty nice udder Gem already has, we're excited to see how she turns out next season.

Daisy has been a great doe. She had twins last season and gave us a lot of delicious milk. This year she gave us one pretty huge doeling on Jan 5th that we're keeping. Daisy isn't the most correct, but she does produce a lot. And for a dam raised she's pretty level headed and easy to handle. She's currently giving over a gallon a day just like last year as a 1st freshener. This is her 2nd freshening as a 3 year old.

Iris is out of Daisy and Billy last year. She made weight right before breeding season so we were able to include her in this year's season. She's very pretty and petite and I'm liking how she is developing as a milker so far, though she's not producing as much. She is smaller and being a yearling 1st freshener, she will probably pick up in production next year. She kidded two polled bucklings December 22nd that have since found a home together. Nice easy birth and healthy babies.

We bought Gem along with Axel and Buddy. We didn't breed her last year as she wasn't quite big enough. She is going to be coming on 2 years this year for her first time. She kidded on December 10th and gave us one pretty little polled doeling. She has some good genetics and we are absolutely loving how she is developing as a milker. She's up to just under a gallon a day and has a nice udder that's very easy to milk. She is probably the most level headed, calm, and cool tempered doe here. I am happy she passed that on to her daughter this year. She did have some issues adjusting the the stand and being milked, but stands perfectly now.

Ruby is the product of Gem x Billy and was born December 10th 2024. She has her momma's cool, calm demeanor. And she's polled on top of it. She is definitely here to stay! Seeing the change to the udder Billy put on Iris and Gem's nice udder, we're very excited to see how she does next season. I don't think she'll have an issue making weight, she's growing like a weed just like her friend. She has a such a pretty face. She's just hitting that awkward stage, but should even out soon.

Poppy is this years product of Daisy x Axel, born January 5th 2025. They gave us one gigantic 10lb 6 oz polled doeling. She is definitely here to stay! We can't wait to see how she develops over the year. I don't think making weight for breeding season will be an issue. Her and her friend are both growing like weeds and, while in a bit of an awkward stage right now, both are gorgeous and very friendly. I think we made the right choice in bottle feeding this year. And I just love the darker color she's developing most likely thanks to her sire.

Or Tilly as I think we'll be calling her, just arrived and has got some nice genetics and should really help improve our line of goats here as we get rolling. I am really liking what I'm seeing so far, and on top of that, she is just the sweetest little thing. She's the only one here that likes to come and just snuggle. Everyone else is pretty friendly and likes scratches and pets, but she wants to put her head on me and just closes her eyes. If she makes weight this year, we will breed her this year. Usually the ones born early in the year like this make weight, but her momma looked a little small, so we might hold off until next year. I like them to be at least 70 lbs before we breed. Some lines are a little slower growing and I don't mind waiting.
Fox On Fire OBR Tilly Jane

Buddy
He is Gem's full sibling and they share a sire with Axel. He is wethered per previous owner's request. We got him to keep anyone company that would otherwise be by themself. He's a sweetheart and will probably have a permanent place with us being everyone's buddy.
